Sun, fun and bike mechanics – Manchester Day Parade 2014

This year I took part in Manchester Day Parade with the Foxes of the Fold community group from Bolton at Home. The group, their partners and families had worked extremely hard to create our The Threads That Bind Us weaving machine carriage.

For the Parade we were joined by eighty other BaH residents and were one of the largest groups in the parade, and despite not having a sound system we were also apparently one of the loudest…

The Threads That Bind Us Carriage. Working with the Foxes of the Fold and Bolton at Home to make cotton industry inspired carriage for Manchester Day Parade. The carriage will have giant spinning cotton reels, flag waving arms, a carousel and be bike towed and powered – if we manage to finish it in time…
